For Abed

The reappearance of Amy Pond had made Sherlock question everything he'd thought he knew about the Sphere incident. He re-interviewed many of his fellow passengers, ran blood tests on anyone who would submit to them [extracting more than a pint from Amy herself before John stepped in for 'medical reasons'], and today he was re-examining the hub, where the Sphere itself had first appeared.

He was crouched low, checking the floor panels for any sign of erosion or change, and heard a familiar voice narrating his actions from the walkway above him.

"Hello, Abed." He called without looking up. Far from an irritation, Abed's presence was fortuitous, as he'd been on Sherlock's list of interviews, and he wouldn't be put off if Sherlock continued with what he was doing as they talked.

Abed had offered his unique perspective only when he thought it was appropriate, like during the madness associated with the Sphere. He had come to Sherlock and tried to explain the nature of the manifestations, as well as the 'only way' to end them. Sherlock had filed the information away for use after he'd wrung every last bit of information about Moriarty from his own mind, but of course that time had never come.

It was time for another run at Abed's store of knowledge.

"Amy's reappearance doesn't have anything to do with the Sphere, does it?" It was barely a question.

"Not that I know of, no," Abed answers, which is the best he can do. He'll add narration to this segment later on, but it's best to focus on the conversation for now. "Those that died during the movie never did come back. I'm not sure how she still died when the Sphere never existed in the first place, but." He shrugs. He hasn't figured that one out yet, and he isn't sure he ever will.
