It had been approximately nineteen days since Spock had noticed Sherlock behaving differently toward him, and thirteen days since he had determined that the difference was in the detective's treatment of him and him alone. Logically the only event that could have changed their prior comfortable association was the confrontation during the week when they had all been chemically induced to function without the use of their higher reasoning.
Spock still could not suppress a surge of self-loathing and regret whenever he thought of it. He knew he could not fault himself, as he could hardly prevent his body's response to chemical stimuli. But illogical though it might be, he was ashamed of his behavior, and missed Sherlock's company, even if they normally only exchanged a few words while working together.
He went over to Sherlock's table and waited for him to look up from his work. "I have observed your behavior to me has changed," he said, the words coming out slightly faster than his usual measured pace. "Logically I can only conclude it is a result of the events of three weeks ago. I would like to discuss your rationale."
